Zorin - problem with desktop shortcuts

In Zorin, I can make desktop shortcuts for a program with a right click like this:



But then when I want to use the shortcut, I get this message - and that with every program:



What could be the problem.

Make the desktop link executable by either right clicking it, selecting Properties, permissions and marking it as executable or use the chmod +x on the link.
