How to have a program run on Bootup before login on Angstrom?

    Hello all,

I currently have a BeagleBone Black that I'm using for a project. It is controlling a robot and some sensors. My only issue at the moment is that the program I have created in C doesn't function unless I explicitly tell it to. I want the program to run on startup with no login since it will be an embedded device.

I have looked up tutorials online, but unfortunately the program does not work on start up. I also need it to work on start up. Tutorials online are not as in depth as I'd like them to be so if someone could post up how to do it in depth I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks

Have you tried starting it from the /etc/rc.local script that runs after the main init scripts are completed.

That doesn't exist on the BeagleBone Black. I have a newer version of Angstrom where you have to do the start up file.
