The one that you like.
The DE that comes with Yoper is pretty good. How to know if you are a geek.
when you respond to "get a life!" with "what's the URL?"

Never used Yoper, but I've used IceWM with most all the others. If you like lightweight, blindingly fast, highly and easily configurable and very easy on resources, have a look at IceWM.

It's very much personal preference. But, I personally like Windowmaker.
It's very clean, lightweight, and stable.

For a heavyweight desktop environment, I converted to KDE. I might switch back to GNOME, but I just hate how the wm didn't allow for windows snapping together at the edges (I'm a neat freak like that). Other than that, I do like the look and feel of GNOME.

i like KDE. but its all up to your preference. which is more important, speed or style?
Today I fell and felt better, Just knowing this matters, I just feel stronger and SHARPER!!!, Found a box of sharp objects, What a beautiful THING!!! Box of Sharp Objects - The Used
- 06-26-2005 #9Hmm... you can both with something like Fluxbox or Enlightenment you know. WM's just get a bad rap because it's just a bit harder to make them look cool, but with a bit of patience and configuration I can make Flux look just as cool as KDE, IMO.

I suggest GNOME bacause all the applications that I use under Linux are GTK (KDE uses QT). Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice, Gimp, Gaim, and whichever other popular application you can think of is GTK.
