SMB Yoper<->WinXP
OK, I am totally stuck. I am trying to use Samba to connect to a WinXP PC (called PCBENEDEN) and a Yoper PC (called PCLIEVEN). The WinXP is updated to the latest SP, Yoper V2.1 is also apt-getted to be fully updated.
My smb.conf looks like:
The XP PC has the shared folders and a printer (Brother HL-5040) being shared. When I boot my Yoper PC to XP (it's a dual booot), everything works. When I use Yoper and I use smbclient -L PCBENEDEN I get:Code:[global] workgroup = THUIS server string = PCLIEVEN ; hosts allow = 192.168.1. 192.168.2. 127. printcap name = cups printing = cups lock directory = /usr/local/samba/var/lock guest account = bin log file = /var/log/samba/log.smbd max log size = 50 security = share encrypt passwords = yes smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_SNDBUF=8192 SO_RCVBUF=8192 dns proxy = no restrict anonymous = no domain master = no preferred master = no max protocol = NT ldap ssl = No server signing = Auto [printers] comment = All Printers path = /var/spool/samba browseable = no # Set public = yes to allow user 'guest account' to print guest ok = no printable = yes [homes] comment = Home Directories browseable = no read only = no [Data] case sensitive = no guest ok = yes public = yes msdfs proxy = no path = /mnt/data/
So I cannot reach the printer. How can this???Code:Password: Domain=[PCBENEDEN] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager] Sharename Type Comment --------- ---- ------- IPC$ IPC Externe IPC print$ Disk Printerstuurprogramma's SharedDocs Disk ADMIN$ Disk Beheer op afstand C$ Disk Standaard-share Domain=[PCBENEDEN] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager] Server Comment --------- ------- Workgroup Master --------- -------
Moreover, I cannot see my Linux box from the XP box in Network Neighbourhood or whatever. But when I do smbclient -L localhost, I can see my own shares. I already changed the requiresignorseal value in XP, but it didn't help.
So, to end:
1/ How can I see my printer connected to the XP box?
2/ How can I reach my Yoper box?
