    Would any 1 no the best way to install drivers for radeon 9600 pro on linspire , Ive only ever used nvidia with other distros

    I'm pretty sure Linspire uses the rpm format.

    Actually, no. Linspire is based on Debian, so it uses the DEB format. However if there are not DEB files available you should be able to convert them using alien. Are you sure there isn't an official ATI package available from Linspire, perhaps through their Click N Run application?
