Trying to make a bootdisk
Hello everybody,
I just wanted to recompile why kernel but before i start with it, i want to make a bootdisk.
In case off any problems. You never know
But every time when i try the command mkbootdisk --device /dev/fd0 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 my shell is telling me this:
Insert a disk in /dev/fd0. Any information on the disk will be lost.
Press <Enter> to continue or ^C to abort:
/tmp/mkbootdisk.zL3220: Permission denied
Failed to format /tmp/mkbootdisk.zL3220
And when I try to do this mkfs.ext3 /dev/fd0 my shell tells me the following
mke2fs 1.37 (21-Mar-2005)
/dev/fd0: Permission denied while setting up superblock
The moment of executing the command i was root and i also changed the permissions with chmod. Is there anybody how has an idea because i'am starting to get desperated.
