Sata "No hard drive found"
I have been using Suse 10.1 on my laptop for a few months now... I decided to purchase and digital download Linspire five-o for my munchkins computer, a desktop. The install on his desktop went like a champ, and left me rather impressed with Linspire...
I decided to install it on my Gateway NX560X Latop, which has a SATA hard drive. The problem is that I keep getting an error saying something like 'no hard disk found'
I went to Best Buy and picked up a new SATA hard drive, same result....
Any ideas?

its SATA chipset problem. check this link.
casperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thanks! Guess I'll stick with Suse for now... Linspire does work like a camp on my son's computer though...

I solved the Suse issues I was having on the Laptop... Linspire will be staying on munchkins computer and Suse on my Laptop... Thanks a million for the reply! you rule!
