    Exclamation Help to write DVD


    Hi!
    My brother has been touching the computer and he has fu**ed it....
    Every time i want to enter Windows XP i can't because an error of "Explorer" appears....
    I've installed LinSpire in another hard drive...
    I'm planning to backup all the files from the other hard drive into DVDs, and then format my hard drives and reinstall windows xp.

    The things is that i don't really know too much abour Linux and i don't know how to make DVDs with my backups

    Need backup

    Try installing k3b through Click n Run

    I've k3b installed, but i don't know how to make it write DVDs...

    Use the data dvd option.

    In the top section, navigate to the files you want to back up. If they are in a windows partition they'll most likely be in /mnt/winxp, /mnt/dos or something of the like. Then drag and drop the files into the lower section. Then click burn.

    You'll probably need to be root (administrator) to access the windows partition.
