    addappend = acpi=force

    anybody know the correct way to enter this into my /etc/lilo.conf (see subject)? i know i have it typed out correctly, but any other posts i've seen either have apostrophes ' or quotation marks " around acpi=force part.

    in posts, apostropes or quotation marks were used to highlight acpi=force . append the kernel line without any of those.....

    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    that's what i thought, just wasn't sure. first time i tried it, it messed it up bad enough that i couldn't boot up my other computer. had to reinstall zenwalk. i know i didn't HAVE to, but i didn't know how to fix it otherwise.

    thank you
