    SLAX vs my resolution.

I've a live CD Slax linux distro that seems to work perfectly fine, except when it comes to the screen resolution. Upon booting the CD and logging in, I have to use the xconf command in order to boot properly - there's some major display signal issues if not.

My problem is, however, the resolution will not go any higher than 640 x 480. It's difficult to use at such a low resolution.

Graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce MX420.

    Any solutions?

i assume that you are logging as root. try to type gui not xconf. if it does'n work then edit xorg.conf file. to edit xorg.conf type mcedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf. you will see your xorg.conf file. Find the lines similar to Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" and change it as Modes "1024x768"
press F10 to quit mcedit. save file and type starx. it should work.
