http://dsl.thegeekery.com/current/current.iso works fine for an HTTP:// transfer. not sure why u cant use ftp:// as all windows machines can and never had a linux machine complain about it. Oh well, enjoy.

Retarded restriction prevent FTP, HTTP is just better...

The dsl-3.1.iso is what you want.

I have one humble suggestion, write in English. Writing 'someone' instead of 'sum1' takes a fraction of a second more, but is much easier to read.

Now, I think you might want to take a look here and here, as most (if not all) questions are answered. When you have a specific problem, ask on these forums and you will get the specific answer very quickly.

Downloaded a bunch of 'distros' (I think they're called) & did fiddle with the DSL version.

So, I'm online, wifi, running the 'puppy' version (2.10 I think) off a live cd -laptop is a gateway mx-3410. Also managed to configure it to my encrypted home network (think?! somehow).. Setup questions are a bit diff from what I'm used to with the windows d-link extreme g I'm somewhat adept with.

Lookin for some guidance & perhaps can provide some info on getting the wi-fi working. Wasn't a picnic (for me) at all & might be of some help for others.

Think i got the firewall running & guess I'll get avg anti vir.
    Is DSl?Puppy good for wifi???

Also, the have AVG for Linux??

Yes, AVG makes a Linux version of their antivirus program. It's available here:
