Boot from slave drive
Hi,
I have Win2K WinXP and Ubuntu installed on the master drive. I have Mepis installed on the slave drive. How do I configure GRUB so that I can boot to Mepis?

which boot loader are you using? if you are using Ubuntu's GRUB, mount slave drive and copy title, root, kernel and initrd line from its menu.lst file and paste in Ubuntu's menu.lst. change refrence of hd0 to hd1. add an entry for slave drive in Ubuntu's device.map file too.
in case, you stucks somewhere, post the output of 'sudo fdisk -l' and contents of Mepis menu.lst file.
if you are using Windows Boot Loader, use BootPart to add an entry in boot.ini file.
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
