Installing Vector Linux
Hello. I have seen multiple reviews on Vector Linux, all great. I decided to give it a go, but every time the installer gets up to about 75%, the screen goes blank. I decided to give it the benifit of the doubt for an hour, but no go. I have tried formatting with EXT 2, 3, and ReiserFS. The older, the farther I get. All my partitions are big enough to handle the distro (really, 20GB partition plus some swap for a 700MB distro.) I am, however installing this on a much older (think 1998--refurbished) system. I have tried the diffferent kernals, but oddly enough, I get the farthest with the SATA kernel, when I have nothing more than an ATA harddrive. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

OKAY never mind. It turns out all I had to do was push "SHIFT".
