Every time I try to configure anything I get this message:
"configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH".
what should I do??

Install GCC, available on Click and Run?

Thanks. I tried that but it has had no effect. is the terminal looking in the right place for the compiler?

Try typing gcc -v
