    Sound Device

    I am completely new at Linux and only recently made the switch to the MEPIS distro. I recently ran into a problem in my main account wherein which it failed to recognize the sound device. It was working fine when i first installed MEPIS and it continues to work fine on my root account, only my main account seems to have a problem with this.

    I need help on how to approach this problem.
    if there is a manual i have to ****ing read, please indicate which one.

    Is your sound system enabled?
    Try to select Alsa as a system, and restart the service.
