    dsl is really good on older and slower computers.
    you can install gimp and stuff on it too.

    both, DSL and VectorLinux works fine on older hardware, and you can install OpenOffice 2.2 and Gimp in DSL.
    are you having any trouble with VectorLinux?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
