    mounting Insignia music devices

    my usb pluggable Insignia NS-DA2GC doesn't seem to be recognized by MEPIS. there are no devices attached to sde1 or sde, and i have no idea where to find it if it is.

    once connected, the mp3 player itself says 'USB Connected', but the computer apparently has no recognition of it. where do i find it so i can mount it?

    I have already tried right clicking on the KDE desktop and creating a new link to device, but its not listed under the list of devices. myeh?

    Try this ..

    Go out on your desktop and

    Right mouse button click
    Configure Desktop
    Behavior (left side)
    Device Icons (Tab)
    Click Show Device Icons box
    Ok
    close

    Plug in your usb device again and wait up to 30 seconds
    go from there....

    an icon should pop up and you can query that icon as to where your
    device is setting....

    * Can't guarantee anything....but at least it is a start
