Go here: ftp://ftp.oss.cc.gatech.edu/pub/linu...nsmall/current and download current.iso . Then burn it to a CD. Then reboot your computer with that CD in the drive.

    download DSL 3.4.iso

and use your cd burning tool to create a bootable cd from the .iso file.

Don't create a data cd,you need to create bootable cd in order to boot using cd and then go for installation.

If you are presently in windows you can use this simple iso image burning tool Burncdcc to create a bootable cd
life is the greatest opportunity that the nature had given you

Please DO NOT Create BOOTABLE CD.
.iso Images are bootable by default. Select BURN IMAGE to DISK option in your CD Burner Package.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

You didn't mention about Burn Image to Disk option anywhere in your post.
Most of new users burn .iso images incorrectly. Please take care of that next time.
