    Can't install linux on my computer blah

    ok after i install linux or try too then it tells me to restart my computer when its starting up my monitor goes out of frequency and it goes into standby after a while and its a flat screen and can suppot up to 75 im trying to install Kubunutu or something nice sleek fast easy to use cause im a noobie to linux also i have a raid controller and a serial ata hard drive if thats a problem also when i try to start the live cd like it says "start or install ubuntu linux" i press enter and then it does the same thing with the frequency and i was wondering if you guys could write me instructions on how to install the linux in like safe graphics mode and boot it in safe grphics mode or something or if ou cant do that tell me what i can do cause i really want linux also i want windows xp and linux on my computer so yeah just hit me up
