Dreamlinux 2.2 several questions/XFCE4 goodies

Just installed Dreamlinux 2.2, and I love it. Flawless DVD playback WITH MENUS out of the box and correct wireless and SSH browsing. COOL desktop.

I just downloaded and installed XFCE4 goodies with APT GET, but I don't understand how to make them work in Dreamlinux. I really need the battery level monitor and the clipboard thing urgently - and it would be nice to make the other goodies in that bundle work...

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated :p

Please be gentle with instructions, as I'm a semi-newbie but am ok at the command line more or less...

Yes - thanks very much :) Works great now... still getting used to XFCE. I do prefer it to KDE as it's faster.
