I ran across this http://www.dynebolic.org/ I was thinking of trying it because the thought of making and editing multimedia files intrigues me. Also the fact that its a live cd is also good. I was wondering if anyon has tried the live cd and what you think of it?
I haven't tried the latest one. Dyne II is in heavy development, based on linux from scratch. The cool thing about the Dyne II is that they are designing it to be modular and easily remastered.Quote:

yea i have heard about dyne II don't really know much about it though right now i am downloading dyne:bolic 1.3 i thought it wont hurt to give it a try.
You might also want to consider mediainlinux http://www.mediainlinux.org/ especially if your working with music. This particular cd is tremendously packed, and the new release is a lot faster than the old one.
Though I like Dyne:bolic as well :-)
Oh! and as you can see in my list of distros I use Demudi. While it does have a live cd also, I however, have it fully installed.

Dyne:bolic is a good choice and you may want to look at "Musix" too.
