Help With JULinux
I downloaded the distro and unetbootin to install Linux on a separete disk drive.
I have Windows XP on C drive. I want to install JULinux on D drive. When using
unetbootin to install linux, it does not recognize D drive. It only sees C drive.
How do I make it install on D drive?
why are you using unetbootin to install? can you not burn ISO to disk or put to usb flash drive?
RE; Help with JULinux
Thanks for replying.
My computer will not boot from USB Flash Drive.
The ISO file is 1.42 GB, so a CD will not hold but 700 MB.
If you know a way around this please help me.
I have been working on getting this to work for quite awhile.
I am trying to get away from XP
Thanks for any help you can give me.
so that means you need a DVD, do you have a dvd burner and dvd media?
if yo can burn a cd then download the iso of this disc "Plop boot manager" and burn it to a cd.
it's a small boot disc that when you boot from it has tools so that you can boot from a usb flash drive . it's a bit getting used to how to set it to do it but once you get it then your good to go. there are guides on the site .
It can also be installed to the hard drive as a boot manager (like GRUB) so that you can boot from usb ,cd,hard drives and i think it also has a net boot option but not sure.
I have used it b4 in old laptops without usb boot options (mine is a Dell Insparion 7000) a 8lb brick of a laptop made in 1999.
I stand for using PLoP also. It's beautiful IMHO:)
