How can I do in DSL some things I used to do in YasT
Hi, there. I'm new to Linux and started to learn how to use it a couple of weeks ago with a SuSE 10.1 distribution I've bought in a bookstore. By using a tool called YasT, I learned how to install some packages, kernel source code, development libraries and headers, and learned how to check if they were already installed.
Now I've installed DSLinux or DSL, and don't know how to do those things I've just mentioned in the paragraph above. Do I need to do everything from the shell, the command line? How can I check, for example, if the kernel source code is already in my computer or if the openssl libraries and headers are already in my computer?
I would appreciate any help, even if the answer is that things aren't that easy as they are with YasT.
Thank you in advance,
