Info about Embedded Linux

I am new to Linux,
Can any one throw some points about embedded linux and the difference between desktop linux and embedded linux.

Hi,

Desktop linux works on desktop or laptop computers, they usually have a graphic interface (Gnome or KDE among others) and advanced funtionnalities. (Fedora, Ubuntu, Mandriva, ...)
Embedded linux is for small devices, live phones, PDA or remote controllers. (uClinux, Trinux, Kaella).
