Installing package manager in Chrome OS
Hey guys,
This is quite noob as I'm just diving into terminal commands but I am curious as to the power I might have at my disposal on my chromebook.
Setting the computer to dev mode gives you access to the terminal and from there root. I have seen commands posted on the net that let you set the OS partition to read/write
I am wondering: since Chrome OS is basically forked gentoo, would it be possible to compile or install a program (say Rhythmbox for example) or even a package manager? (Dpkg and APT in my case since I am most familiar with Debian)
Has anyone here tried playing with a chromebook like that? (And yes I know I can just boot to another Linux distro but I'm intrigued by the possibility of modding Chrome OS)
