Openfiler java(sun-jre) installation

Hi all!

I have a problem with installation of java.
Im using 64bit Openfiler(using rPath). Now i need to install, but #conary update sun-jre doesnt work. I get : no new troves were found message.
Now i want to install java manually but I just can figure out how.

Could someone please help me.

i'm not sure rpath has a sun jre in the conary repo, but installing it manually should be pretty easy

you can either download the bin with RPM files in it or just the bin which when extracted is just the JDK in a directory, set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to it, add JAVA_HOME/bin to path and you're set

Hi!
Openfiler does have a sun jre update, read it on severals forums,
thing is that conary update doesnt work. I found some 64bit bin
and rpm.bin packs of sun jre but i can't manage to install
them(not that familiar with linux). Which commands could i use to install those files?

use ./<filename.bin> in terminal is all you do, they have to be executable through chmod first though, chmod 755 <filename>
