Puppy Linux-GRUB question?

I have successfully installed GRUB. Do I need to configure the GRUB boot loader so that Puppy can be booted?
Note: This is a Full installation.

Add information:
I'm using Puppy version 5. Dual boot with XP. It's a Dell desktop.
I haven't reboot the Puppy since first install because I worry that it will mess up.

if it booted successfully and give you two option which to boot, then you wont have to configure it.

the xorg sometimes won't function well during an improper shutdown error of puppy 4 series,was it already fixed in puppy5?
