Questions about Moblin/Damn Vulnerable Linux

I was just wondering if anyone here has used Moblin, and what they thought of it.

So far the only thing it has going for it for me is the lightning fast boot. That's pretty remarkable. Outside of that the UI is a bit disorganized and hard to navigate. A lot of good ideas but too many are just thrown in there without the ability to take them off or change them.

I also have a question about Damn Vulnerable Linux. I'd like to learn how to use it, and I have a Live CD/flash drive I can use to boot it. However it takes me to a backtrack login in the console and I don't have a backtrack login. Plus it's obviously not connected to the internet. How do I log in? Sorry for the noobish question, I just haven't had any luck finding resources that explain how to install and use DVL.

Yes, I have used Moblin and it's kinda derivative 'Easy Peasy' on my Laptop.
I found it good and lightning fast, coz' they are specifically designed for optimum performance on very light like Atom processors. But yeah, I would agree on too many things been thrown up, though the UI is pretty cute in there:)

Never even heard of Damn Vulnerable Linux before, so can't comment.

DVL is specifically designed to have every security hole that there can be. It's sole purpose is for testing for system vulnerabilities. It is NOT intended to be a normal Linux system and should be carefully firewalled if you are going to experiment with it, unless of course you are building a "honey pot" to trap malware. Why are you interested in using it? Is it to improve your network security? If so, then fine, but do be careful! :-)
