Sabayon Linux Question
I guess this -could- go in the Gentoo section... but it's not truly a gentoo question, although the core of Sabayon is Gentoo
I have a few problems...
1. -SERIOUS- I lack a shutdown process... If I choose Shutdown/Reboot/etc it just turns off X and sits at a black screen and does nothing else... EVER... not even after letting it sit for an hour.
2. When I scroll in programs (mainly browsers) with the scroll button on my mouse (Or sometimes if I even use the scroll bar on the side) The page lags, and fragments as it scrolls... like BADLY. I assume this could have something to do with the basic setup of Sabayon itself... but I don't know what to fix... some
( A similiar problem is that the windows are choppy and slow to move when I move them too)
This seems to be all the problems I've come across so far... other than that it's SWEET
The slow refresh thing shouldn't be happening. This system is a relatively new Dell Dimension B110 (Yeah, it does have a crappy Celeron) But other distros run fine.
Please reply =D
Are you running XGL or AIGLX? This could slow down your scrolling as it did for me when I tried Sabayon.
Push CTRL-ALT-F1 and login as root. Then, type:
Does your computer shutdown?
I'm not running... either... I don't think. At least not by choice.
I'll tell you what the command does.
If you installed Sabayon while using one of the two, it is enabled by default.
