Thank you for responding I guess since I am pretty new to Linux I am a little behind on what all distos there are out there.

Scientific Linux is basically a clone of RHEL. But it has a few additions that are geared toward laboratory work. You should take a look at their homepage fo some good info.

If I were looking to install Red Hat on one of my boxes, I'd definitely consider Scientific and CentOS as alternatives.
