    Question PCLinuxOS MiniMe hang

So, I followed the tutorial on pendrivelinux.com on how to create a bootable PCLinuxOS MiniMe on my usb. I did this successfully, however, when I actually booted, it hanged on me. The message that it hanged on is as follows:

Booting from USB Starting USB support: [OK]
    Probing USB Devices: [LOADED]
    Probing SCSI Devics:

and it hangs. Now, I'm pretty much completely new to Linux, and have no idea what an SCSI Device is, and why it hangs when it's trying to 'probe' it. Althought, while this was going on, the lights for capslock and scroll-lock were flashing, and I have no idea what that means.

I tried to boot it from my brother's computer, and it worked like a charm. I have no idea why it's hanging on my computer.

EDIT: Also, what's the equivalent of a .bat or .cmd file on Linux? And what's the konsole equivalent of 'copy "source" "path"' on a command prompt on Windows XP?
