    Need way to install sudo

On June 2010 pclos, I could access and edit sudoers and give
myself sudo priveleges, which I did, and used sudo for over a year. Installed new revision from scratch and lost this ability.
Tex thinks sudo is the devil's spawn, and has made it impossible
    to install from existing files.
Please advise how to get sudo from somewhere and install it.
(I have googled, and pclos was not mentioned; it looks excessively complicated for other distro that doesn't have it.)
(I tried to copy the files from another distro to pclos, but it doesn't work. It doesn't ask for my password, and gives the
usual warning, plus saying "3 incorrect password attempts" or
    something like that.)

Synaptic > Settings > Repositories > click on your chosen repo > add special to the Sections() line > click OK > Reload.
