How Does One Install Sublime Text 3 on PCLinuxOS

Am running up-to-date PCLOS on a Dell D620 Core2 Duo.
    Sudo doesn't work.
I use Konsole-Root or Root LXTerminal.
    These commands don't work:
    1) add-apt-repository
    2) apt-get install software-properties-common
    3) apt-get install python-software-properties

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
Sudo likely doesn't work because your user ID is not in /etc/sudoers with adequate permissions. For now you will have to su to root as in "su -" and input the root user password. You will need to do this in order to edit /etc/sudoers in any case. Since I want to have easy root access from my user account (not safe - don't do this if your system is not otherwise locked down) I use this entry in /etc/sudoers: myuserid ALL=(ALL:ALL) NOPASSWD:ALL

I could leave the NOPASSWD directive out and it would require my user password to sudo, but then I am a lazy bugger!
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!

just for the record, don't use NOPASSWD:ALL!!!!!
passwords are there for a reason, and even if your machine never ever connects to the net, it's a good safety precaution to have it. like a safety belt.

    besides, you don't need sudo.

    you can use
    su -

then, show us exact and complete command output instead of "doesn't work".
