i915 Driver Troubles

Hey guys,

I've got an intel gm965 video card on my laptop running Hardy Heron. I took me forever to get the process done right, but I've recently installed the latest version of the i915/intel video driver from the git repositories at intellinuxgraphics.org. I can now play planet penguin racer to my hearts content! However, I was hoping for something a bit more mature than PPR, so I tried to install Return to Castle Wolfenstein under wine. The install went fine, but when I try to start a single player game, X gives me an error, "Failed to initialize TTM buffer manager. Falling back to classic." and wolfenstein dies saying that it can't load some models or something. Hmm... that's interesting. When I ran a glxgears, I got the same error, and noticed that X was spamming my dmesg with "trying to get vblank count for disabled pipe 0". Finally, I tried to enable compiz (which has never worked before) through Main Menu->System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual Effects. That gave me a blank, white screen for 15 seconds. Any ideas what's going on guys? Is this more common than it appears to be under google?

Here's a glxinfo ungrepped

Could my trouble with compiz be explained by failing to whitelist my video card?
