| Why on earth is Linux using 100% of CPU #2?? Hi
I have noticed something recently, within the past week or so.. Linux is using a TON of cpu power to do absolutely nothing. For example, I am just sitting here, typing an email through firefox with the systen monitor open and the current cpu usage is: CPU1 = 37% and CPU2 = 100%. CPU1 is jumping all over the place. From 40% to 90% to 30% to 80%.. I am not running anything in the background either. I use this computer for work stuff. Emails and networking, that's it. What the heck is Linux doing????
Ok, now for the specs. Using Gnome System Monitor, It says..
Kernel Linux 2.6.25.16-0.1-pae
Gnome 2.22.1
Memory 1010.6 MiB
Processor 0:Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
