Ricoh Printer drivers or workaround wanted

Anyone got any workaround for a Ricoh GX3000 Gelprinter which is not supported under Linux?
I've tried a few generic HP drivers but no joy as yet.
Thx,

I think you are probably out of luck unless there is some way to get it to work using the Windows drivers under WINE:

WineHQ - Run Windows applications on Linux, BSD, Solaris and Mac OS X

Even the Ricoh folks say that it won't work at all with Linux, if this is your printer model:

OpenPrinting database - Printer: Ricoh Aficio GX3000

Yeah - that's my printer - tried installing under Wine but no joy.
Guess I'll just have to keep a Windoze os as a dual boot and the only machine needed to print out on it.

If you should decide to buy another printer in the future, I've always had good luck with Brother printers, but I think lots of HP printers work under Linux as well.

In the interim, maybe someone that has gotten the Ricoh to work will find your post and offer up some tips.

Do let us know how it all works out.
