monitor and video card not detecable

Hi
I have tried to install rhel4 ,but the monitor and video card were not detectable (probe no monitor/no video card )
Is that means my monitor and video card are older or newer than required.
thanks.

Have you tried RHEL5? Also, what is the video card you have installed in your system?

RHEL 5, as recommended by Rubberman, should have better overall hardware support. If you must install version 4, you could try experimenting with some of the optional kernel boot codes when you first boot the installation disk.
