| I tried manually configuring the xf86config file also. However, that didn't help. So I surmise the main problem is that Mandrake doesn't recognise the Intel 915G chipset, which is very strange, as I did download the unified driver from Intel's web-site and successfully compiled it. I also tried using the i810 generic setting. Of course, that didn't work either. So I think it would be best for me to wait for a few months, get the 2.7 kernel when it releases, and hope that has driver support for 915G.
