Adjust printer margins in CUPS?

Hi,
I have finally managed to get my canon ip1000 printing in cups, but anything i print is about an inch too high on the page. This includes the test print. Can anyone tell me how to change this? Maybe by editing a config file.
I am using SLED 10.1 (evaluation), CUPS 1.1.23 and driver PIXMA-iP1000-Ver.2.50.

Thanks.

phil

Thanks for the reply. This problem 'just went away', I didn't change anything - I simply restarted again. It's not all plain sailing though. I can print from open office, but not firefox or acrobat reader. I think it's just a poor driver from canon.
