Epson Perfection 1650 Not Detected

I have an Epson Perfection 1650 Scanner, USB. I upgraded (BAD MOVE) to Fedora Core 1 from Red Hat 9 and now my scanner is useless. I don't know how to fix this.

Also, I hate Fedora because it doesn't allow me to chose what Kernel I want to load, which ruins my money spent on buying Win4Lin. UGH

Could you detail the steps that you took to get the scanner to work under RH9? Also, what have you done in FC1 to attempt to get it to work?

in RH9 I didn't do anything, it just worked. I've tried updating the back ends, front end, mod probed it unplugged it you name it. I didn't update anything before, and it worked in RH9 no problem. But now with Fedora it's not working.

Basically, I didn't change anything at all when I upgraded. I just tried to scan a picture and it said not detected, so I went through and did what the manual said (the sane manual for my scanner) and nothing works.
