Can you let me use your DSDT file since I have the same P105 S9337 ?

Would your hacked DSDT file work for others who have the exact same machine as you? That being a Toshiba P105 S9337

If so, that would make it far easier for us non programmers.

Thanks so much.

I have had no sound for 6 months too.

DSDT File For Toshiba P105-9337

Hi robo-linux.

Yes, I believe it would be the same DSDT file. I am not certain though, since the file is generated by my system to start with. But, the worst that will happen is that it won't work, so I'd give it a try.

The attached zip file includes both the .dsl and .aml files. Good luck. If you need more info, just let me know.

Marc

Hi Marc,

Thank you very much. As soon as I get the BIOS flashed to 4.2 I will try your DSDT files and then will post my results for others.

Hi Marc,
Since the custom Toshiba kernel file was a 32 bit version in your instructions, I decided to try the newest 64 bit Ubuntu alpha2 version: Hardy. I got sound instantly on my Toshiba P105 S9337. BIG thanks to the Ubuntu developers.

By the way, the keyboard on the Toshiba P105 S9337 is so bad I ended up buying an HP Laptop yesterday.

Thank you again for your help.

Send a message via Yahoo to LuisC-SM
You must use sudo instead
$ sudo cat (proc/acpi/dsdt > DSDT.dat
Cheers
Luis

I still get an error saying permission denied even while using 'sudo' on
"sudo cat /proc/acpi/dsdt > DSDT.dat"
