Does anyone know of a free , easy to install Python IDE that can be installed in Suse Linux 10.1 i586 apart from PyDev?Please notify me of it ,where I can download it and any of its dependencies.Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about Python myself, but I've heard of IDLE:

I use ERIC. Its a QT based app, so would be more suitable if you are running KDE.

I've always used IDLE as pointed to by techieMoe and had no problems with it, although I'm sure ERIC works quite well, too.

Where on the page can i download the IDLE? The links point to the download page for python, i already have python installed.

i searched for python-idle in YAST and came up with nothing. I tried also just python and i have everything installed to do with python. Can anyone recommend any other IDEs. I am also looking for a way to install SPE. I normally use ubuntu so any detailed instructions would be helpfull.
