    help with setting up path

    hey guys

    i have recently installed libmad and is currerntly trying to test it with a program. however when i test it i get this error.

    error while loading shared libraries: libmad.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    i believe it can not recognise the required library. i have no idea on how to setup the paths for my program. could someone please help me with this

    one more thing, i think i have to use LD_PATH_LIBRARY according to other people with this problem, but i have no idea on how to use it. someone help please!

    How did you install libmad? Did you build it yourself? Are you 100% sure it's installed?
