Installing Intel Compiler on Ubuntu
I have fiesty fawn ubuntu and am trying to install the intel compiler. However this is not working, I have install the files from the intel site. But I keep getting the following error:
sudo sh install.sh
/home/brett/icc/l_cc_p_10.0.023_ia32/./osdetect.sh: line 273: /home/brett/icc/l_cc_p_10.0.023_ia32/data/chklic.em64t: No such file or directory

ERROR: Problem encountered executing CHKLIC_32_64 utility located here:
/home/brett/icc/l_cc_p_10.0.023_ia32/data/chklic.em64t
The CHKLIC_32_64 program data/chklic.em64t requires these libraries:
not a dynamic executable
Please consult the installation guide (INSTALL.txt or INSTALL.htm),
the Pre-install FAQ (Preinstall_FAQ.htm), and the Release Notes,
located in the /home/brett/icc/l_cc_p_10.0.023_ia32 directory,
to ensure that you have the necessary system files and are installing
on a supported operating system.
Exiting installation program.
I have no idea where this problem comes from! It looks like something I cannot fix. Help! I really need to get the intel compiler installed.
