    This kind of application can be easlily done wing FTP,SSh

    That's something like going to the beach and asking for someone to give you some sand... Shell scripts are all over your system. They are text files with, or without, any extension (sometimes .sh) that have been made executable by the system. My suggestion is to get a bash programming book. O'Reilly's Nutshell Series has a couple of good ones for the noob that you can get from Amazon.com or other book vendors (Borders, Barnes&Noble, et al) or your local library.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
