Lightbulb [SOLVED] Creating Applications/Programs for Linux Platform

What programming languages or tools are used to create programs or applications that can be executed on Linux platform?

Can we use VB 6 and Macromedia Flash for creating a project that can be run on Linux? And is there any tool or program that can convert a Windows based application to a Linux based one?

I see this thread is much like the one you started sometime back. Might I suggest that you do not repeat the same question in another thread?

Well now for flash and VB. Yes you can program in VB (the .net version) on linux (you will need the mono run time environment for this). I have also seen flash programming on Linux.

Mods:- please merge this thread with this

Well, I had posted this thread before the other one and as I didn't get any reply so I had to repeat it.

    Thanks any ways!
