what software was used for this?

    Hello,

    I was viewing a video:
YouTube - GNU/Linux CD-changer (second life of a Bull printer)

I'm curious as to what burning software package was used, because I'm interested in building something similar. But the way I want to do it, I would have some mechanical part actually hit the eject button to close the tray. Th video does not show this. So how was the automatic cd tray closing accomplished?

Also the video caption indicated that the parallel port was used for robotic control. I would not do this, I prefer to use a microcontroller.

    Thanks.

It was most prob a script that they used using a command line based burner, then using the eject command to well.. eject and inject. Why not contact them via their website and ask for help?

I tried contacting. I'm still awaiting their reply. The user's profile shows no activity for the last half a year or so. I'm fearing that I'd get no response.

The only burning apps that I know are k3b and gnome baker. I do not know of any command line based burner though. Can you refer me to a few?

    Thanks.

You can find a guide here, which uses cdrecord.
Also take a look at cdrkit and dvdrw.
