Programming Help!!!!
I've been given some problems to solve in linux / unix programming i wonder if any one can help me with these. any help would be great! BTW im using openSUSE 10.1 to script all these
1. create a new command 'filecount' which will count the number of files in the current directory
2.Without using an editor, produce a shell script 'sayhappy' which if executed would display the worlds 'happy holidays' on the screen. Execute shell script using 'sh'
3.change the permissions of your shell script 'sayhappy' so that you do not need to use sh to execute it.Execute without using 'sh'
4.Without using an editor, modify your shell script so that, after displaying the greeting it waits for exactly 2 minutes and then displys the word 'goodbye'
