    Flash Play source code

I'd like to see how Flash Player works, I heard the released earlier versions of FP but the source for the newest one (v9) I can't find. Does anyone know where I could find it?

EDIT: Whoops left out 'er' in the title.

    Hello,

Adobe Flash Player is both proprietary and closed source software. That means, the source code for this software is kept secret and you are denied access to its inner workings and not entitled to examine it further.

There are at least two projects in the making by the FreeSoftware community that try to built a free alternative. At the time being, they run to some extend (play YouTube videos), but far from perfectly.

    One is
Gnash - GNU Project - Free Software Foundation (FSF)

    the other's name I've forgotten
