Hello,

A little background is helpful about me. I started programming in C about four months ago, and I have been enthusiastically studying it on a near-daily basis.

However, what has happened is that I have found out that when it comes to programming ideas, I am not very creative. Basically I have learned all these interesting facts about how programs are developed, their essential parts, data types, printf, scanf, fork, etc., but I have no idea of where to go to build my skills from here.

If you guys could give me a suggestion, or maybe some idea of something at least pseudo-interesting to code up (that might be a little bit too advanced for my skill level, so I can learn new things), it would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully I'm not being too vague with this. Oh, and I'm relatively new to linux as well--I can get to and fro, move and copy things, and do hard/soft links, etc. but nothing too fancy.
